When John and I went to Vail we flew into Denver. We were told that there was now a Columbine Memorial and we wanted to go visit the memorial. Even though we did not know anyone at the school we do have a connection. My mother in-law was superintendent at the time of the tragedy. So we know about some of the pain that everyone went through and continues to go through almost 10 years later.
The memorial was very peaceful. It was designed perfectly. It really is a place to go for reflection. I can't imagine the pain that the parents are going through, or the students. The pictures are of some touching quotes on the wall. If you ever have a chance to go visit please do.
